All About Me

Hello, my name is Victoria (Torie). I am a Certified Labor Doula (CLD through C.A.P.P.A) and a trained Postpartum Doula. I have been married for 9 years and have a 2-year-old son and a pittie pup (more like a middle-aged dog, but she’s my pup!). I have a B.A. in Child Development and years of experience in the classroom working with toddlers and preschoolers.  Being an Auntie, godmother and having tons of cousins I have always been drawn to babies and toddlers. Nannying after college introduced me to the doula world and after spending some years in the Child Development field I have now circled back to where it all begins. I am here to support families informationally, emotionally and physically (when safe and applicable) through pregnancy, labor, birth and postpartum. I love to guide families as they navigate this shift that happens when a new family member comes into the home. I feel that every family has their story and I am here to aide in this next chapter.

Torie helped us keep focused and reminded us to communicate our birth preferences to the L&D team, which was super helpful. her curiosity and upbeat demeanor were truly an asset to the team, and enhanced our birth experience.

Torie was extremely helpful in guiding me as I navigated my first pregnancy.  She answered all my questions throughout my pregnancy, was instrumental in preparing me for labor, and was available for emotional support when my labor began.  Her demeanor, knowledge, and support gave me the confidence that I needed - especially when pregnant during a pandemic.  Thank you for all the support!

Torie was wonderful in helping us prepare for the birth of our first child. As you can imagine we were very nervous, particularly given the unique times we are in at the moment. Torie helped us prepare with the knowledge we needed and most importantly with practical real life practice so that we felt more comfortable. Thank you for your patience and guidance.

We loved our experience with Torie! Starting with her services she provided above and beyond what we were expecting . She was always available to talk if we ever had any questions or concerns even outside of scheduled meetings . One of the key things we loved about working with Torie is on how she educated us on our rights at the hospital, especially in not always having to go along with what the hospital always tries to push on people. Having a great doula like her was definitely an invaluable research and we would recommend her to anyone going through the birthing process!
